

My Story

The Mindful Sleep Coach was born out of a desire to educate and support families to feel empowered to make positive sleep changes for their little ones. Each family is individual and has different needs which is why I will listen and create a clear bespoke plan depending on how you parent, the personality of your child and what you hope to achieve.
The nap anxiety I felt around my eldest’s sleep was all encompassing, especially as he was born just before lockdown. Sleep and Mental Health come hand in hand and I know how overwhelming sleep can be for families.
I’m passionate about making you feel comfortable and confident to improve your little ones’ sleep.
I have had the pleasure of working with lots of lovely families, you can see some of their feedback here.
I also enjoy collaborating with other professionals in the pregnancy and parenting field. I’m delighted to be on the expert panel of the wonderful Four Mamas retreats and have also recorded a brilliant podcast on toddler sleep.

We reached out to Gemma a few weeks ago as we were really struggling with our little boy’s sleep. He wasn’t napping, was waking regularly throughout the night and we saw 5AM starts (if not earlier) every day.
We had a call with Gemma who was friendly, approachable, non-judgemental and listened to everything we said, in detail. We received Gemma’s plan and got started right away. We were blown away as to how quickly it worked and how much our sleep has improved since. We have no wake ups & if he does wake, we go back to the method & he falls asleep again. We’ve now seen 6.30-7.30 wakes constantly. A vast improvement for us all.
Naps have increased from 40 minutes to 2 hours and he is sleeping beautifully. He is such a happy boy and we are such a relieved family, now able to enjoy bedtime routines properly without feeling anxious or worried about how the night is going to go.

Gemma has given me advice and guidance a couple of times, and both times it been amazing and absolutely spot on. When my little one was going through a horrible illness (at about the 18 months) which massively disrupted her sleep, Gemma was able to rule out so many things and then gave us the confidence to persist with sleep coaching to get her back into a routine. It worked a treat. More recently (now 2 years old) my daughter had started to fall into a habit of waking earlier and earlier in the mornings when she never used to, and with Gemma’s advice we were able to implement a new routine very quickly which immediately stopped the early waking and she’s gone back to sleeping until we wake her up! Amazing!
