✨ There isn’t any rush or pressure to put your little one down but if you feel you need the space and time that’s totally ok and we can work on getting your babe to start to be able to sleep for a few naps in their crib
✨ The morning nap is always the easiest one to start with as there’s some residual melatonin from night time
✨ You can absolutely enjoy all those newborn cuddles and pop your baby down every now and then and it’s not selfish to want to do this
✨ On the other hand if you enjoy the contact naps then no one should tell you to stop, there’s no such thing as creating bad habits

✨ The last nap of the day usually is dropped when baby’s are between 6-9 months old. If you’re experiencing night wakes, early wakes or bedtime refusal out of the blue and it’s been happening for a week or so it may be time to drop this nap.
✨ Before dropping it you can reduce the time of it if your little one is very sensitive to over tiredness
✨ Extend the awake window between the other 2 naps gradually by 10/15 minutes to start with and always remember an early bedtime is key when nap dropping

On Sunday 30th March the clocks spring forward. Here are my tips for dealing with the change, 2 options:

✨Do nothing - this can be good if you have an early riser, 5am on Sunday morning will be the new 6am 🙌
🌟 Prep from a few days before if you want to stick on the same schedule, push bedtime and naps earlier by 15 minutes from Wednesday this week or by 30 minutes on Friday and Saturday.

Try not to worry as you and your little one will get back to their routine before not too long, it could take a few days, but just send me a DM if you have any questions or comment below and I’ll get back to you 💜

Above all enjoy the lighter mornings and longer evenings ☀️ a good time to buy a black out blind to help your little one sleep.
